SUMMARY:Laura Anglade
LOCATION:Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts
DESCRIPTION:Time: 7:30 PM – 8:30 PM\n\nBrooklyn-based jazz chanteuse Laura
Anglade brings a luminous blend of elegance\, storytelling\, and timeles
s artistry to the stage. Born in in the south of France and shaped by lif
e in the United States and Canada\, Anglade’s music reflects an internati
onal sensibility—rich in warmth\, nostalgia\, and the beauty of everyday
moments.\nHer 2022 release Venez Donc Chez Moi earned a Juno Award nomina
tion\, and she received the prestigious Prix Opus for Jazz Concert of the
Year in 2023. Anglade’s third album\, Get Out of Town\, released in 2025
\, has garnered widespread critical acclaim and introduced her to an even
broader audience\, including appearances on the Late Show with Stephen C
olbert and The Kelly Clarkson Show.\nWith a voice that feels both classic
and refreshingly modern\, Laura Anglade offers an evening of jazz that i
s intimate\, elegant\, and deeply moving—an experience that lingers long
after the final note.\n"Anglade continues the grand tradition of acting t
he song\, bringing fresh vitality to Songbook standards and some unfairly
obscure gems.” Jazziz\n“Laura has studied all the great vocal stylists o
f the last century. And yet she imitates no one. Her sparing use of vibra
to\, and total lack of affectation are almost startling when you first he
ar her\, because you feel convinced that no singer has ever been so absol
utely honest with you.”\nThe Berkshire Edge\n“Écouter Laura Anglade chant
er\, c’est plonger dans un univers de velours. Sa voix ne ressemble à auc
une autre et elle revisite les standards du jazz en y apportant sa touche
bien à elle.” (“Listening to Laura Anglade sing is like diving into a wo
rld of velvet. Her voice is unlike any other\, and she revisits jazz stan
dards with her own unique touch.”) French Morning\nSeason Tickets availab
le beginning July 7 (click the "Season Ticket" tab).\nIndividual Tickets
available beginning Aug. 17.\n📺 Streams live online.\n\nMore info: https
